Curt Cacioppo is a major American composer, recipient of a lifetime achievement award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters alongside Leonard Bernstein. His 2014 CD Ritornello with the Quartetto di Venezia on Navona Records earned a Grammy® nomination. Since 1999 he has held an endowed chair in Music at Haverford College near Philadelphia. In 2018 he dedicated his quartet "Nebbia Lagunare" to the QDV on the occasion of the Venetian ensemble's 35th anniversary.
